My training in the landscape industry started in 1966 with my first job working at Walter Andersen Nursery. Under the guidance of the Andersen family I went to Mesa Jr. College and studied Nursery & Landscape Technology, transferring Cal Poly Pamona for Landscape Architecture.
As much as I loved the challenge of Landscape Architecture, in 1976 I concluded that I didn't want to sit at a drafting table (no Autocad yet) 12 hours a day.... hence the birth of a
Design/Build Single Source Construction Service.
It was, and still is the best of all worlds. I service the clients of Landscapes West from the very first site meeting through preliminary to final design layout.
I initiate the project layout, locate and manage the selection and shipping of the proposed materials, including personally picking out the best available plant materials.
Many of our clients enjoy the plant material selection process without the need to learn latin. Whether we are using a Landscapes West design, or a design provided by another landscape architect for your landscape construction project, I can take you through a nursery to show you what your selected plant materials will look like. You will always have the option to make changes in plants prior to delivery and installation.
